This is a shot from my trip to Umbria, Italy, last year.
It's the town of Preci, in the Sibillini National Park, taken around dawn as mist was streaming down the valley while the sun rose behind the mountain peaks above.
I'd like to say that it was hard work getting this image, some story about sleeping overnight in freezing conditions in an inaccessible outcrop of rock, perhaps after a 5 km hike up a mountain....but nah. I actually took this from right outside the front door of the cabin - I sat on the deck in one of the chairs, set the tripod up and took shots of the village being hidden and revealed by the swirling mist with a mug of steaming coffee in my hand.
