This is a 2008 calendar I've put together with some of my favourite images taken over the last year. I hope you like it. I've tried to pick a variety of my work, not only waterscapes, and there's a shot in there that has never been submitted to dA ;-)

Please note, that the shots aren't all square format..in the actual calendar itself, the shots are in their original, complete version; landscape, panoramic or square. I cropped the images on the front page into squares to make it look more organized.

Each of the images has been rechecked since I originally submitted them for print to remove any dust I missed the first time, the frames and titles have been removed and they were all submitted at 300dpi.

The images can be viewed here [link] Click on the images to see them full size.

Alternatively, you can see the original deviations:

If I had any money at all I would buy this in a heartbeat... But I go to college...

At any rate, amazing calendar you have here, maybe another for next year? I plan to be able to afford little bonuses like this by then...

Thanks so much, that's really good of you to say.

I'll definitely be doing another calendar, and hopefully the next will be better. This one was done after my first year of photography, so it was hard to find 12 shots I was happy with...I'm hoping it will be easier this year :-)

Wait... You're saying that you've only been making photos for one year?

That is an incredible talent you have, I can only imagine what you might accomplish in the near future!

Well not strictly one year. I started in summer 2006, but only started to take it more seriously when I joined DA in September 2006. I did the calendar a year after that, so I only had a year's worth of pictures to include and a lot of them were poor as I was still very much a beginner.
I still think of myself as a beginner, I try to learn a little every time I go out with my camera.

Thanks for you comment, it's nice to hear. I do hope I'll get better in the future and be able to take the pictures I see in my head. I look at the work at genuine professionals here on DA like *MarcAdamus and *lonelywolf2 and that's the long term aim :-)

yes, i love your work.
Although personally i find there to be more instantly appealing stuff on DA, i always find that apon closer inspection your photos contain an aesthetic and technical beauty unmatched by the vast vast many.
Your work is defintly a source of inspiration, well certainly for me to correctly compose and orcestraight my shots, instead of just getting "lucky."

Thanks
Chad

Thanks so much...I really appreciate the comment, and the fact that you take the time to study the images. I always feel that with dA a shot has to have instant appeal or it won't get noticed and there's A LOT of work that I do that I won't submit, even though I like it, because I don't think it has that immediate impact.

I really appreciate your support, it's great to read that some of my shots have helped inspire you :-)

Thanks loads...I've sold quite a few actually through work as well as through dA, it's been a pretty positive experience and I've been able to give around 260 euros to charity from sales :-)

Thanks...that's really wonderful and I'm EXTREMELY grateful...It's the biggest buzz in the world for me when someone actually buys my work.

Thanks again, I don't know what to say :-)
